GoHighLevel Social Analytics: What It Actually Tracks

GoHighLevel's Social Planner carries its own analytics tab now, pulling numbers from nine networks into a single screen: Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Google Business Profile, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and Bluesky.

You'll find it under Marketing, then Social Planner, then Statistics, and that's where GoHighLevel social analytics actually sits inside the app, separate from the main reporting menu agencies usually check first.

Open that tab and four sections load: a KPI overview, social post performance, engagement stats and top performing posts, plus a breakdown of audience gender and age for platforms that support it. Agencies running several client accounts use this one screen instead of logging into each platform's own dashboard.

How GoHighLevel social analytics actually works

The dashboard defaults to a seven-day window and automatically compares it against the seven days before that, the same default HighLevel's statistics API uses when no custom range is set.

You can widen that window, but only on a weekly basis for now. There's no way to export the numbers out of Social Planner yet, which matters if you report results to clients in a separate deck.

Reporting speed depends on the network too. Some platforms update close to real time. Others, HighLevel's support documentation notes, can lag by a day or two before the numbers settle.

For a wider look at how scheduling and publishing work alongside these numbers, see our breakdown of GoHighLevel social media management.

Where each platform's numbers fall short

Not every network reports the same things, and the gaps are specific enough to plan around.

PlatformWhat limits the numbers
InstagramAudience demographics only show once an account has at least 100 followers
TikTokOnly business profiles are supported, and data can take a day or two to appear
LinkedInCompany pages are tracked; personal profiles are not
ThreadsNo impressions or demographic data at all
BlueskyEngagement metrics are limited compared to the other networks

Those gaps come straight from HighLevel's own support article on advanced analytics, not guesswork, so they're worth checking against whichever networks a client actually runs on.

Getting those connections right in the first place, especially across several sub-accounts, is where GHL setup and configuration work usually pays off before analytics ever becomes the problem.

What the Statistics tab still doesn't do

The aggregated view is newer than most people assume. Before HighLevel's product team marked the request complete on January 21, 2025, Social Planner only showed stats per individual post, not rolled up across an account.

Exporting is still missing, and so is a direct link into the main reporting dashboard. A follow-up request asking HighLevel to fold this data into Reporting was still open as of October 17, 2025.

That gap pushes some agencies to pull the numbers through the statistics API instead and build their own view. It's the same endpoint behind the native dashboard, with support for up to 100 connected profiles per request.

If a client needs that data sitting next to everything else, our guide to the GoHighLevel custom dashboard covers how that gets built.
