What the White-Label GoHighLevel Desktop App Includes
Clients who open a GoHighLevel white label desktop app never see the HighLevel name anywhere in it. The title bar carries your agency's name. Its dock or taskbar icon is yours, and the login screen shows your logo instead of a generic sign-in page.
HighLevel still runs the platform underneath. The installer just doesn't say so.
Before this existed, a branded client meant pointing people at a browser tab sitting on a whitelabel domain. That still works, and plenty of agencies stick with it.
A desktop app installs like real software and sits in the dock between a client's other tools. There's no browser chrome and no URL bar to give away what's actually running it.
Setting up the GoHighLevel white label desktop app
Agencies configure the branding through the Desktop App Customizer in the Agency Dashboard, not through code. The options cover everything a client would actually notice:
- App name, shown in the title bar and on the sign-in button
- App icon, for the dock or taskbar
- Theme, from presets or custom colors
- Login screen title and subtitle text
- Full logo and background image, plus placeholder images
Once the branding is set, there's a live preview before anything ships. Save it, submit it, and HighLevel runs an automated build.
HighLevel's own setup guide for the white-label desktop app walks through that build step by step. Once it finishes, it generates the actual application links for Mac, Windows and Linux.
Our GHL setup and configuration work usually covers this for agencies who'd rather hand it off than learn the customizer themselves.
After the build reaches Published status, there's a Promote toggle. Turn it on and sub-account users see a download banner inside their own portal, and that banner detects the visitor's operating system and points them at the right installer.
Agencies also distribute the app through direct downloads, generated access links, or onboarding emails, so the banner is a convenience rather than the only path.
What it costs, and what it doesn't include by itself
The branded desktop app isn't a standalone add-on. It's bundled into the plan GoHighLevel calls Unlimited, priced at $297 a month on the official pricing page, which also covers unlimited sub-accounts and a custom domain.
If you're already paying for Unlimited, the desktop app isn't a separate line item to justify.
It does need a domain to sit behind, and that's a separate step. HighLevel's guide to the whitelabel domain setup lays out a CNAME record pointing your chosen subdomain at whitelabel.ludicrous.cloud, entered under Agency View, Settings, Company, then Whitelabel Domain.
DNS propagation takes up to 30 minutes before the branded login actually resolves. Give it that long before assuming something's broken. Our breakdown of what each GoHighLevel white label plan includes covers how that domain setup fits alongside the rest of the branding work.
Why SaaS resellers care more than most
Agencies reselling GoHighLevel as their own SaaS product have the most to gain here. Every touchpoint that still says HighLevel undercuts the pitch that the platform is theirs.
A desktop icon that never breaks character does more for that story than a browser bookmark ever will.
If that's the model you're running, our SaaS CRM launch work and ongoing white-label support are built around exactly this kind of branding consistency, from the login screen down to the installer clients double-click.
One limitation worth knowing before you promise it to a client: HighLevel's documentation lists Mac App Store and Microsoft Store listings as a future enhancement, not something available today. The app installs directly from the generated download link, not from either store.
