How GoHighLevel Course Hosting Works

GoHighLevel course hosting runs inside the same subscription you already pay for the CRM, so there's no extra per-student or per-course fee stacked on top. HighLevel's pricing page lists Courses and Communities as included features on every tier, from the $97 Starter plan up to the $497 Founder plan.

That's different from most dedicated course platforms, which start charging more once your student list grows. Here, the course builder sits under Memberships > Courses > Products, and building one starts with a product, not a blank page.

What GoHighLevel Course Hosting Covers

Open the course editor and you get a course map on one side, listing every module and lesson, with the editing area on the other.

Modules drag into whatever order fits the content. Lessons can carry video, PDFs, quizzes and assignments, all hosted on HighLevel's own servers rather than a separate video host.

According to HighLevel's own documentation, supported course video files run up to 5GB each, and subtitles come in as editable .srt files in multiple languages.

Once it's built, the course doesn't sit on its own island. It gets delivered through the Client Portal, the same login customers use for other parts of your business.

Or it ships through the Learning experience inside a GoHighLevel membership site. For the full build-to-sell process, including how to structure pricing and promotion, this walkthrough goes further than the setup steps alone.

How Course Pricing and Plans Fit Together

Every offer gets one of three pricing types: free, one-time, or recurring. You can bundle several courses into a single offer at checkout, and HighLevel's own setup guide walks through creating that offer under Memberships > Courses > Offers.

Paid offers need a connected payment provider before they'll process anything, which is the same billing plumbing behind GoHighLevel's recurring payments elsewhere on the platform.

PlanMonthlyAnnualSub-accountsCourses & Communities
Starter$97$9703Included
Unlimited$297$2,970UnlimitedIncluded
Founder (Agency Pro)$497$4,970Unlimited, with rebill markupIncluded

What changes between tiers is sub-account count and rebilling, not how many students you can enroll or how many courses you can host. A solo coach on the $97 plan gets the same course builder as an agency on the $497 one.

Drip Schedules and Completion Certificates

Drip settings let you schedule when a lesson or module becomes visible, instead of handing over the whole course on day one. GoHighLevel's drip content settings work the same way for a standalone course and for lessons tucked inside a membership product, according to HighLevel's support documentation.

HighLevel also now blocks a drip value of zero, closing a gap where that kind of entry used to vanish from the schedule entirely. Existing schedules built before the fix keep working as they were.

Certificates are automatic by default. Every new course ships with a completion certificate you can edit, swap for another template, or set to draft if you'd rather skip it.

Category certificates go a step further, as HighLevel's documentation on category completion explains. Attach one to a specific section and it's awarded the moment every required lesson in that section hits 100% complete, though you can't move it once it's placed, since it always appears as that section's final lesson.

If you're moving a course library over from Kajabi or Teachable, most of the real work is mapping modules and keeping drip order intact before anyone enrolls.

Getting the category structure and drip sequence right before launch matters more than fixing it afterward, which is exactly the kind of detail a GHL setup project is built to catch.
